Board Members

Our board members are professionals from diverse backgrounds sharing a keen sense for development in the local community of developing countries with emphasis for empowering children. They each have extraordinary skills and experience in a wide range of sectors, both public and private. This ensures the organisation takes a well-rounded approach to everything it does and that decisions are made on an informed basis.

Our board members are responsible for providing strategic direction and governance, ensuring effective financial and risk management oversight and continued organisational viability and sustainability for both YourAid and BLCP.

YourAid Board Members

  • Peter Kingsford

    Director since 2000

    Peter is a flight captain with Qantas where he has spent several years navigating the globe. He is currently a director with the Buddhist Library Sydney, a sister organisation of YourAid where he actively provides strategic guidance to both organisations.

  • Giles Barton

    Director since 2000

    Giles is a senior practitioner in the health industry. He has wide knowledge in infant child and adolescent mental health. Giles is a regular teacher of meditation and instructor in yoga at the Buddhist Library, Sydney and a current Director of Santi Forest.

  • Brett Scott

    Director since 2017

    Brett is a retired solicitor and was formerly the chief executive officer of Eclipse Financial Group (EFG). As one of the original principals of EFG, Brett acted on a number of significant deals for EFG and was responsible in providing specialist legal advice to many clients of EFG.

  • Cecilia So

    Director since 2015

    Cecilia is a dental practitioner and was instrumental in starting the dental program of BLCP in Cambodia. She regularly shares her extensive technical knowledge in dental care at universities both locally and overseas. She has a strong interest in children's health and continues to actively contribute her expertise in this area including volunteering to provide dental care in BLCP's clinics.

  • Anna Idzikowska

    Director since 2018

    Anna is a project management leader in the finance and IT industry. She has travelled extensively throughout Asia and has volunteered her services to several organisations. She has a strong interest in child development and education. She was instrumental in initiating the computer program of BLCP in Cambodia.

  • Mark Halford

    Director since 2021

    Mark is an industrial designer who has been an active international volunteer. He has a strong interest in realising the development potential of structures for both utilitarian and aesthetic purposes in order to improve human lives especially in developing countries.

  • Peter Athaide

    Director since 2023

    Peter was a former senior management executive in credit ratings in the insurance industry. He has a strong interest in community development in third world countries.

BLCP Board Members

  • Hing Channarith

    Director since 2011

    Hing Channarith is an active community leader. He is the founder and also the Chief Executive Officer of Cambodia Children's Advocacy Foundation Organisation, a local NGO providing education in rural areas.

  • Kin Pheap

    Director since 2016

    Pheap is the Country Manager, Cambodia for BLCP where he provides valuable and capable leadership. He has been with BLCP for more than ten years. His background and training is in education.

  • Dr Kim Yon

    Director since 2008

    Kim is the Head of our Dental Program and has a strong interest in children's oral health and development. He oversees the three dental clinics and one mobile clinic under the program.

  • Adrian Long

    Director since 2021

    Adrian is the representative director of YourAid where is currently the Strategy Manager. He provides management guidance on the implementation of projects by BLCP, formulating new strategies and oversees compliance and governance.

  • Sokunthy Nget

    Director since 2021

    Thy is the director and founder of Chumkriel Language School which offers education programs support. He has extensive experience in managing an NGO and in assisting the local community.
